Detailed Instructions By Bus
Step 1
Notify the space in advance when one estimated to arrive at the space.
At step 5 (at the bus stop in Güneşli, Çağım or Bengisu will pick you up from where the bus drops you). It takes a 15 to 20 min drive to get up into the mountain. The pick-up fee is 200 TL.
Step 2
Arrive at the nearest airport which is Dalaman Airport (DLM).
Step 3
From the airport, take a Havaş or Muttaş bus to Fethiye bus station. Your journey will take approximately 1. 5 hours. These buses exist for every plane landing. Fare: 300 TL (approx $6)
Step 4
Once in Fethiye, find the minibuses (dolmuş) by the road right in front of the petro station called Petrol Ofisi (Google pin: here) and look for the Fethiye-Saklıkent or Saklıkent-Fethiye bus. Screenshot of bus stop: here. The screen at the bus stop will show when the next 2 buses come. Fethiye-Saklikent comes every 30 minutes and you can see the specific times here. The Journey will take approximately 45 minutes.

Important Things to Note
Space Rules
- Because Dharmapur Retreat Center is situated in a remote mountain village, there will be no ATMs around. It is most recommended to come with cash and exchange money at the airport or Fethiye. ATMs In Türkiye have a fee of up to 10% and so does trying to pay by card at Dharampur Retreat Center. Cash is the more economical option. The Muğla area is known for being safe.
- The nearest town is Güneşli. It is 6km from the retreat by taxi and too long of a walk to the retreat. For those coming by bus (Güneşli is where you get off), call Çağım or Bengisu.
- There is one hotel in Günesli called Tlos Butik Otel and daily fees begin at $61 (at expedia.com and hotel.com). Appears to book out quickly. There are much cheaper rates in Fethiye (as low as $13 for hostel bed and $26 for private bed). If one wants a budget private room, the very lowest price is on hostelworld.com, a place we stayed at called Dovan’s Lycian Way which is $35 a night, private room, but it is non-AC. The host Doğan is very kind and accommodating.

Regarding internet, the retreat space has fast wifi (see speed test from Jul 5, 0935 here), so a local SIM card is optional. However, if you would like mobile internet while exploring the surrounding area, The Dalaman airport has a Vodafone shop, and it works well at the retreat. The sim for 1 month will be around 60 USD (in Fethiye, it is 10 USD cheaper).
Cleaning & Laundry: Room cleaning is the responsibility of the guests. Use of the washing machine costs 5USD per load. We kindly ask for your support in washing your own dishes in the kitchen.
Alcohol & Prohibited Substances: As the Dharmapur facility also provides rehabilitation and addiction recovery services, alcohol consumption is not permitted. In addition, the possession or use of legally prohibited stimulants or narcotic substances on the premises will result in immediate termination of the guest’s stay without any refund.
Accommodation & Payments: Accommodation fees are collected in advance, and the selected room is rented exclusively to the guest for the chosen dates. No refunds can be issued for days on which you choose not to stay at the facility. However, we are open to finding solutions in special circumstances.
Community Rules & Right of Termination:
Dharmapur reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the agreement, without refund, for guests who fail to adapt to communal living of Dharmapur or the cultural norms of the Village outside of Dharmapur, engage in disruptive behavior, or bringing prohibited substances onto the premises, in order to protect the well-being of other guests and the facility.
